Nordic walking is a new trend sport which can be practised by everyone, independent of the respective fitness condition. Nordic walking originally comes from Finland and is an optimal staying power load form for people with overweight, older people, sports beginners and fitness enthusiasts.
The Nordic walking motions are almost identical with those of the classic cross-country skiing. Next to the leg muscles, also the trunk and the upper part of the body are trained. The heart and circulatory system is strained in an optimal way, as the stress is well-dosed and controllable. For trained sportsmen Nordic Running is an ideal type of sport.
Nordic Running is practised in a cross-country skiing style and strains the heart and circulatory system a little more. Therefore, competitive sportsmen from all load-power types of sport have an optimal training incentive here.
