The Stubai Glacier holds 1000 opportunities to experience the majesty of ice. The Stubai Glacier is an experience you will not soon forget. At 3000 metres above sea level, Stubai Glacier is the largest glacier skiing destination in Austria. The altitude means that snowfall is absolutely 100% guaranteed from October to June.

ADAC SKI GUIDE – THE FAMILY-FRIENDLY SKI RESORTThe Stubai valley enthrals ski enthusiasts not only with its magnificent slopes and outstanding snow conditions, the region is also a step ahead in terms of its family-friendly offering. In SkiGuide 2012, it was distinguished once more as the most family-friendly ski resort in the Alps.
BIG FAMILY SKI CAMPFor families with children, the Stubai Glacier has plenty to offer, garnering it praise from the ADAC Skiatlas as the most family-friendly ski resort in the Alps - three times!
Children from 3 to 15 years old receive top-notch instruction and supervision from expert instructors all day long.
This is what kids can expect at the B.BIG Children and Youth Ski Camp:
- Conveyor systems for a comfortable climb
- Glacier hut where you can warm up
- Ski carousel
- Funny cones, carpets, archways, figures and many colourful hurdles
- Of course during the kids’ winter holiday, each ski-camp member receives a pin, a surprise gift and a certificate as well as a medal after the final race.
- Midday care at the B.BIG Family Kids’ Restaurant is included.
- You receive 10% off the price of the children’s ski course as a Jagdhof guest
- Pick-up service by the Neustift Stubaier Gletscher ski school (upon request).

KIDS’ LAND AND MINILANDIn a flat, separated area spanning 18,000 square metres, located only a few metres away from the Neustift Stubai Glacier ski school meeting point, young visitors can learn to ski under the supervision of experienced children’s ski instructors on the Stubai Glacier. In the secured area on a marked course, they are introduced to the sport in a playful way. An array of learning aids such as wave runs, archways, ropes and cones make each downhill run an adventure. Four covered conveyors provide a comfortable, wind-protected climb up the hill. Those who need a little break can take a seat in one of the rubber tyres of the Ski Carousel and ride a few rounds.
KINDERGARTENChildren over the age of three will be lovingly looked after at the BIG Family Kindergarten at the Gamsgarten mountain station. Handicrafts, painting and playing inside or outside in the snow are on the agenda here while parents go skiing.

The Stubai Glacier was awarded the title of Top Ski Resort 2012 in the Family category by the ADAC SkiGuide and distinguished as especially kid and family-friendly. Children under the age of ten ski for free when accompanied by a parent and are well taken care of on the mountain at the BIG Family Ski Camp with its Kids' Land, Kindergarten and Kids’ Restaurant.
