Cross-country ski trails in the Stubai

A cross-country skiing circuit with only 251m of vertical ascent to overcome, but a distance that poses a challenge. Allow about four hours for the distance of almost 14km, which takes you through Milders, Krössbach, Gasteig and Volderau. Highly recommended for your cross-country skiing holiday.

The Gamsgarten upper terminus offers easy access to the Stubai Glacier’s skating trail. It’s our favourite for views and provides excellent altitude training during your cross-country skiing holiday in the Stubai Valley!

In just one hour, the 3.3km trail takes you on a challenging climb of 80 vertical metres and a descent of more than 100 vertical metres. Gliding through our peaceful larch and pine forests in guaranteed snow is a sure-fire highlight of any cross-country skiing break.

When snow conditions allow, the 1.2km trail is lit from 5pm to 10pm. The 20-minute ski through snow-dusted forest is a must for your cross-country skiing holiday in Stubai.

The 2.2km flat trail is ideal for beginners as it can be covered in half an hour. Falbeson is blessed with guaranteed snow, and the trail starts at the Doadler Alm.

Are you looking for a beginner’s loop for your first cross-country skiing holiday? This virtually flat lakeside circuit in the local recreation area of Klaus Äuele is ideal for your first foray into cross-country skiing. If the route doesn’t pose enough of a challenge, you can carry on to Volderau or take one of the many other trails to the Doadler Alm.

If you’re looking for a challenge during your cross-country skiing break, why not take on the only trail in the region rated as difficult? You’ll need to be fit and have good cross-country skiing skills for the Elite Loipe. The constant climbing is rewarded with rapid descents and breathtaking views.

This easy cross-country skiing trail is in the centre of Neustift, so very easy to access from the Jagdhof.
