Employer Award

Austria’s renowned trade publication for the gastronomy and hotel industry, Rolling Pin magazine, awarded the SPA-Hotel Jagdhof the ‘Top Employer’ seal of approval at their 2023 convention. This recognises the  hotel’s dedication to their employees and to a pleasant working environment. Across Austria, only 31 companies have been presented with this award.

More than 1,000 employees in Austria’s catering and hotel industry were asked: What services and benefits make a top employer? This survey formed the basis for a catalogue of criteria covering everything from training to tips and mentoring to meals.

This is the maximum number of points that can be awarded. Rolling Pin’s assessment includes pay that exceeds the collective agreement, staff access to hotel facilities, leisure discounts and training programmes. To receive the seal of approval for a year, an establishment needs to receive at least 80% of the maximum points. Although top-scoring employers are not ranked, an anonymous benchmark report provides information about the allocation of points and a company’s performance in comparison to others in the same category.
